Practice #1: Count and Noncount Nouns

Make changes in the sentences to correct for countable and uncountable noun use.

  1. Stanley and Maria had to ask an advice when they opened their new restaurant.
  2. They didn't know how many food to order.
  3. How many rice would they need and how many potatoes?
  4. They didn't know how many soups they would sell in the restaurant.
  5. They did a research and found a restaurant consultant to help.
  6. She told them how many equipment to buy for their kitchen.
  7. She told them everything, from how much sugar to buy to how to find an entertainment.
  8. She showed them how to bake their own breads and buy an insurance for the business.
  9. Some of what the consultant told them was a common sense.
  10. For instance, she told them to clean up all the garbages immediately.
  11. However, they learned a new information too.
  12. She taught them a lot about how much to charge for their merchandises.
  13. She also told them how to dispose of their trashes.
  14. The restaurant consultant had a lot of experiences.
  15. Now Stanley and Maria have more confidences.
